Chinese forklift manufacturer HELI has launched a 25-ton electric forklift at Bauma 2025 in Germany, marking a breakthrough in large-tonnage electric forklifts for the European market.
The launch comes as Chinese manufacturers increase their presence in European markets. The LogiMAT event in Germany saw a 43% increase in Chinese exhibitors this year (87 versus 61 in 2024).
"We're looking to challenge other brands in Europe," said Gene Li, sales manager with HELI. "Our technology is now competitive with European manufacturers at a more attractive price point."
The 25-ton electric forklift features advanced lithium-ion battery technology and can operate for a full shift on a single charge, addressing one of the main concerns about electric equipment for heavy-duty applications.
